Teen Murderer Fails to Escape Guilty Verdict

By Snav
Michigan teen Jean Pierre Orlewicz was today found guilty of murder. During the murder, Orlewicz first stabbed victim Daniel Sorenson repeatedly then decapitated and burned the body. The confrontation that resulted in the murder apparently occurred due to a failed planned robbery. Although originally planning to take part in the robbery, Orlewicz claimed that he later changed his mind which aggravated Sorenson. Orlewicz claimed that he was acting in self-defense after Sorenson threatened him and that his actions where guided by his panicked state.

First off, good job to the jury not buying into the ridiculous self-defense claim. It could be believable that Orlewicz was acting in self-defense when he first stabbed the victim, maybe even the few times after that, but 13 times seems less like protection and more like anger. Furthermore, any rational person would report the attack to the police and then argue that it was self-defense. Burning and hiding a body sounds more like the actions of a person that knows they just committed murder. Also its worth mentioning another teen, Alexander Letkemann, who watched the murder in progress and did nothing.
